  • Causing or Inciting a Child to Engage in Sexual Activity: Up to 14 years’ imprisonment.
  • Causing or Inciting a Child Under 13 to Engage in Sexual Activity: Up to 14 years’ imprisonment.

Sentencing can be influenced by various factors, including:

  • The offender’s position of trust (e.g., teacher, coach).
  • The duration and persistence of the grooming behaviour. 
  • Whether the child attempted to sever contact with the offender.
